In
Ponca City, Oklahoma woman and dog alike go to hair parlors on a weekly
basis. With a majority of the population over 50 years old, this trip
is a necessity in their grooming. Lynda at the Hair Shack provides
haircuts and perms while filling her clients in on the latest gossip.
Across town, Frank cares for their dogs with a wash and cut, complete
with bows on the ears. This project documents this common grooming
ritual of dogs and their owners.
